Mastering Mental Machinery - Foundations
Note that this cohort is limited to 20 and for CTDN members only
Service Description
Dates: September 12 [9:00-4:00 with 1 hour for lunch] ---------------------- Why do you do what you do? Why do you react the way you react? Why do some situations totally throw you off your game while others seem completely unbothered by them? Why do the same problems/issues/patterns of thought and emotion seem to come up over and over again over the course of your life? Traditional approaches to human development miss something fundamental: that an individual's sense of Self has both an evolving, organic component as well as a static, machine-like component. In this session we will explore: 1) The machine mind and how it keeps generating the same interpretations and experiences 2) A framework (the Enneagram) for understanding and working with the machine mind 3) Tools and practices for developing greater freedom and self-mastery in terms of choosing one's response to situations instead of running on the machine mind's "autopilot". “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” ~ C.G. Jung (note that workshop fee includes Paypal / credit card processing fees)
